Video Option Addition:  Heart-Shaped Aerial Drone Video

Recently, we were asked by one of our couples to video them in the middle of all of their guests gathered around them in a heart shape. They were so excited because they were having a semi-small, intimate gathering of around fifty-five guests, and they wanted a very special memory of all of their loved ones. We have a very talented drone pilot, so we set out to make this happen!

Venue Visit: Kings Crossing Barn and Farm

Recently, while exhibiting at the Southwest Wedding Expo, I met Denise, the owner of Kings Crossing Barn and Farm, a charming venue located between Lake Suzy and Arcadia in DeSoto County. She invited me out for a tour, and I very happily accepted. The first thing I noticed was that this venue is very easy to find. In fact, I live only eleven minutes from Kings Crossing, and I had seen it many times on the way to Arcadia. When traveling on Kings Highway, you can see it from the highway at the end of a meandering gravel drive. The driveway is lined with a white wooden fence that is quite the perfect drive for a wedding venue.

What Do Wedding Planners Love the Most?

Recently, I met with a luxury wedding planner. She revealed to me that her favorite wedding services are both photography and cinematography. The reason she gave for loving these two services the most is because you will enjoy them forever. Even your children and grandchildren will enjoy looking at them. Over the years, the wedding album will be continually flipped through, and the highlight video will be watched again and again. This is so true! She pointed out that the food will be eaten and the flowers will wither away, but the photos and video will live on forever!

What’s the difference between wedding videography and wedding cinematography?

The main difference between videography and cinematography is seen in the final product. While wedding videography is often associated with simple and straightforward documentation, filming a wedding with a cinematic eye will turn your wedding video into a work of art. Producing a quality wedding video that is cinematic comes from the filmmaker’s ability to visualize and shoot artistic video footage on the day of your wedding. This takes a skilled and trained eye for quickly and efficiently finding the best angles that perfectly capture each special moment. If a wedding is filmed with a trained and experienced cinematographer, the types of shots they capture will invoke a positive and delightful emotional response from the viewer.
